Wounded Warriors Ride 2 Recovery

Please come out and show your support for the Veterans on their ride though Keene at the Callicott Park along Old Betsy. What is Ride 2 Recovery (R2R)? Ride 2 Recovery stages long-distance, multi-day cycling events to benefit mental and physical rehabilitation programs for injured Veterans that feature cycling as the core activity.

Animal Shots Clinic

Animal Shots Clinic is held at the Keene Police Department in April. Please check back closer to the event for a list of what is offered, along with pricing.

Movies in the Park

Enjoy family-friendly movies under the stars at the Elisa Carver Park. Seating is on the grass, concrete, so bring your lawn chairs, and blankets. Concessions will be available. Admission is free. Movies begin at sundown on Saturday, unless otherwise announced.

July

4th of July Parade and City Celebration

The parade beings at 9:00 am on July 4th, unless otherwise announced. After the parade there will be a City Celebration at the SWAU gymnasium. There will be lots of good food and drinks, including hotdogs, veggie and meat burgers, nachos and tasty international dishes from a variety of cultures. There will be games and activities for the children and teens including a dunking booth, face painting, pony rides, bounce houses and train rides.

Starfest

Starfest is a safe and fun Halloween alternative, all you have to do is dress your child up in his/her favorite costume and bring a trick or treat bag. The Police Department, Fire Department, Local businesses, churches and civic groups set up booths for trick-or-treat fun, which includes; delicious foods, train rides & hay rides, games, boxing, music, face painting, a motorcycle exhibit and helicopter rides. Everything free except Food and Helicopter Rides. Please no scary costumes. Event is scheduled for October 31st unless otherwise announced.

December

Christmas Light Parade and Fireworks

Scheduled for the 1st Sunday of December the Christmas Light Parade begins at dark. After the parade, the Keene Chamber Commerce sponsors fireworks at the Callicott Park can be enjoyed by spectators and participants. Children can also visit and take pictures with Santa. Do not forget to bring your camera.

During the month of the December, Children can visit and take pictures with Santa at his workshop. Admission is free. Do not forget to bring your camera.
